There are frequent ferries from Lanzarote, departing from the port of Órzola to La Graciosa or you can take part in one of the organised trips to the island.

Playa del Jabillo is located in Costa Teguise

Playa del Jabillo is located in Costa Teguise, in the east side of Lanzarote. It is a 150 meters beige sandy beach surrounded by water breakers making this beach ideal for swimming, snorkelling and learning to dive. El Jabillo offers shower, toilet, life guard, parasol and lounger hire and plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Playa las Cucharas is located close to the centre of Costa Teguise. It is a 650 meter long golden sandy beach with crystal clear water. As it is usually windy, you will find plenty of wind-surfers and surfers in the water. It is perfect for families looking for some fun as there are many water sport facilities around and the promenade with restaurants and bars just beside the beach and it offers shower, toilet, life guard and sun lounger hire.

It is a paradise for surfers, wind-surfers and kite-surfers but due to the fine sand it is great place for sunbathing as well. Due to the strong wind and currents it is not safe to swim in the waters most of the time. There is a parking and life guard by the beach and you will find cafes and restaurants in the nearby village of Famara. Even if you are not a surf enthusiast you will be mesmerised by the picturesque stretch of sand dunes against the cliffs of El Risco, Lanzarote's highest peak.

Papagayo Beach actually stands for a series of little coves, covered with golden sand blown over from the Sahara. You will need to pay a small fee at the entrance of the Los Ajaches Natural Park that is going against the maintanance of the park. You can access the beaches via a dirt road that is quite rocky but you will see it’s worth the discomfort of the bumpy road. There are several beaches along the shore that are highlighted with signs.

Another one of the Papagayo beaches is Playa de Mujeres. It is the first beach that you will see signed when driving through the national park. Playa de Mujeres is the biggest of the Papagayo beaches with gold sandy beach, turquoise water and huge rocks surrounding the cove. Please note that there are no facilities on this beach only the parking, the closest facility is the restaurant on the cliff top of Playa Papagayo.
